For me, the greatest songs come from the deepest aches, the sharpest desires, and the brightest yearnings.
Under my music project, Beautiful Mess, I created a collection of seven portraits of women singing of longing and belonging.
They became the films below—each one an artist alone with her song, in a single take, in a space that fits it.
Each piece is captured in one take, from beginning to end.
